Nikolaev Ukraine – the Top Cinemas October 20, 2009

The fall season has come to Nikolaev Ukraine and it’s getting colder every day. That’s one of the reasons why more and more people who live in Nikolaev go to the cinema.

Do you also enjoy watching movies? Then make sure you go to the cinema when
you are in Nikolaev Ukraine.

Here is a list of the best cinemas in Nikolaev Ukraine. So all you have to do is choose the perfect time, the perfect area, and the perfect cinema.

Note each Nikolaev cinema is designed in its own way. Still all of them have comfortable seats and fair prices ranging from 15 gryven to 40 gryven ($2-$5). The price depends on the time you come and the seat you take. If you want to watch a movie in the evening and you prefer seats that are situated far from the screen, then you’ll have to pay more.

It’s up to you if you prefer a large screen or a medium one, the quality of sound and video is very high in both cases.

Keep in mind there are also cafes in the cinemas. Therefore, not only you can watch movies but also have a snack or just drink a cup of hot coffee.

Important: All movies you watch in Nikolaev cinemas are in Russian or Ukrainian. There is no translation into English or any other language. Still many foreigners enjoy this kind of entertainment.

First of all it’s an unusual experience to watch a movie in a foreign language, especially the one they’ve already watched in their native language. Also, some foreigners are happy to take their girlfriends to the cinema.

You see, even if you are a foreigner the cinema is a great way to spend your free time

Halloween in Nikolaev Ukraine October 18, 2009

Halloween is a new holiday for people who live in Nikolaev Ukraine. However, each year it becomes more and more popular. It’s difficult to say why it happens so. Maybe the reason is that Halloween is a very unusual holiday that is associated with lots of fun, even if it’s a scary holiday too. Also, Ukrainian people believe that the more holidays the better

Whatever the reason Halloween is celebrated in Nikolaev Ukraine, however the celebration differs from the one you’ll see in the USA or other countries. It doesn’t happen often that people dress as ghosts, witches or skeletons. Also, I haven’t heard of children going from house to house to ask for sweets or money. Who knows, maybe the traditional Halloween elements will be adopted some time later.

As you read all these lines you may ask, “How does Halloween is actually celebrated in Nikolaev Ukraine?” And here I come with the answer. Many people especially the youth decorate pumpkins and have parties. Another way to enjoy Halloween is to take a scary mask on and go for a walk along Sovetskaya Street that is situated in the heart of Nikolaev Ukraine. Also, the Halloween night is a perfect time to watch horror movies.

Nikolaev in the Fall October 14, 2009

Nikolaev is beautiful throughout the year; however fall brings a special charm to the area. Each fall season Nikolaev trees go yellow, brown and even red. Colorful trees and the smell of burning leaves are the first signs of the fall season in Nikolaev Ukraine. Also, it often rains in the fall and the weather is often changeable from one day to the next.

As for the average temperature it ranges from 20 Celsius degrees above zero to 5 Celsius degrees below zero. Usually it gets colder as fall progresses.

If you ask me what my favorite fall days are I would say the days when the sky is deep blue and the trees are yellow. It’s really great to look up and see the burst of colors. In fact, blue and yellow colors are used in Ukrainian flag.

If you plan to come to Nikolaev in the fall, please have warm clothes with you. In September you can still wear T-shirts and shirts but later on you’ll need sweaters, jackets, jeans, caps, warm shoes and of course an umbrella.

Here are just a few advices to make the most of autumn in Nikolaev

• Visit parks, breath fresh air and enjoy the beauty of autumn in Nikolaev. There’s nothing better than skipping through a park in autumn, kicking colorful leaves into the air.
• Go sightseeing as buildings and monuments look very special when they are surrounded by colorful trees. With the lingering sunshine of summer and beautiful red, yellow and bronze leaves in the trees, autumn is the time to enjoy Nikolaev outdoors before the winter cold bites.
• Celebrate Nikolaev City Day and feel how friendly Nikolaev people are. Also you’ll see fireworks, concerts and more. Note the holiday is usually held on the second Saturday of September.
• Celebrate Halloween in Nikolaev and see how it differs from the one you could have in your native town.
• The fall season is also a perfect time to make pictures that will remind you of your stay in Nikolaev!

Nikolaev people are very friendly and open-minded. They love spending time with their relatives and friends. When they want to relax and have fun they go to bowling clubs, billiard clubs, skating rink, swimming pool, etc.

You’d better check the Nikolaev weather before visiting Nikolaev Ukraine. Thus, you’ll know what clothes you should have with you and what temperature to expect.

I would say checking the weather is the first rule of a traveler. Showing up in the middle of a blizzard with cloths more suited to a tropical trip can be incredibly embarrassing and, in some cases, life threatening.
